For global B2B rice import, consistency and compliance are non-negotiable. Our "Our Mills" page provides full transparency on the network of processing facilities that form the backbone of our secure supply chain in Thailand.

We do not simply buy from the open market; we partner exclusively with a select, audited network of mills to ensure every shipment meets the stringent specifications of global trade.

1. The Partnership Philosophy

Our approach is strategic: instead of operating a single, monolithic facility, we maintain a flexible network of specialized, certified mills across the key rice-growing regions of Thailand. This strategy ensures:

  • Regional Specialization: Access to mills specializing in specific varieties (e.g., Jasmine in the North, White Rice in the Central Plains), guaranteeing authenticity and regional characteristics.

  • Scalability & Resilience: The ability to fulfill high-volume orders instantly and maintain supply continuity even if localized issues affect a single region or mill.

  • Best-in-Class Technology: Every partner mill is selected based on its investment in modern sorting, cleaning, and packaging technology, minimizing broken grains and maximizing purity.

2. Mandatory Quality & Compliance Audits

Before integration into the Thai Pearl Rice network, every potential mill undergoes a comprehensive, multi-stage audit process.

Phase 1: National & International Certification

All our partner mills must hold current and verifiable certifications that attest to their operational integrity and commitment to food safety:

  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management): Ensuring standardized, repeatable processes in the mill's operation.

  • HACCP / GMP (Food Safety): Non-negotiable certification for hazard analysis and control of critical points in the production line.

  • Thai National Standards: Compliance with the Ministry of Commerce's standards for rice grading and classification.

Phase 2: Traceability & Ethical Sourcing

We conduct internal audits focused on the chain of custody and ethical practices:

  • Full Vertical Traceability: Our systems track the rice from the cooperative farm gate through the mill's silo and packaging line. This allows us to provide guaranteed origin documentation for critical markets like the EU and China (GACC compliance).

  • Labor and Environmental Ethics: Verification that the mill adheres to fair labor practices and employs sustainable waste management/water usage protocols, aligning with our broader CSR commitments (detailed further on our Careers / Ethics page).

3. Integrated Logistics and Quality Control

Our partnership goes beyond just auditing; we integrate our systems directly with the mills for real-time quality assurance.

  • Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI): We mandate third-party PSI at the mill level for every shipment exceeding 500 MT, verifying weight, packaging integrity, and quality specifications before the rice leaves the facility.

  • Dedicated Quality Hub: Our on-the-ground team monitors processing times and packaging standards to ensure the rice is perfectly conditioned for long-distance international shipment.

 

The Strategic Link: Processing Government Reserves

The rigorous standards applied across our network are essential for handling our most strategic asset: the 8–11 Million Metric Tons available from the Thai Government’s Central Reserves. Our partner mills are vetted and designated to process this secure stock, ensuring that:

  • Reserve Stock Integrity: Rice drawn from government storage is processed, re-graded, and packaged according to the same—or even stricter—protocols as new-crop rice.

  • Consistency Across Channels: Whether the order is fulfilled from our private mill stock or the strategic reserves, the final product quality and technical specifications remain perfectly aligned.
