Supply Chain Security & Logistics: Guaranteeing Scale, Predictability, and Zero Risk
Introduction: Our Commitment to Supply Chain Security
At Thai Pearl Rice, supply chain management is an essential risk mitigation service, designed for professional importers managing multi-thousand-ton contracts. We understand that for any importer, from Trial Orders of 100 MT to large-scale contracts exceeding 25,000 MT, compliance and integrity are paramount. Our position is unique, backed by unparalleled sourcing capacity to ensure supply stability across long-term agreements.

Our expertise focuses on vertical integration, ensuring seamless control from the mill floor in Thailand to the final destination, with a particular emphasis on documentary compliance and freight integrity.
1. Operational Capacity & Supply Security (Scale & Stability)
We offer an unmatched level of supply security and operational efficiency:
-
Strategic Supply Access: We guarantee long-term contract fulfillment through access to the Thai government's strategic reserves, providing us with a total sourcing capacity of 8 to 11 Million MT. This eliminates all concerns regarding material availability and large-scale, multi-year supply contracts.
-
Milling & Packing Throughput: We maintain a milling and packing capacity of over 80,000 MT per month to efficiently execute large-scale, long-term contracts.
-
Trial Order MOQ: Our Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for a Trial Order is set at 100 MT (4 to 5 containers), allowing for comprehensive market testing and quality verification.
-
Volume Pricing Tiers: Our most competitive pricing structure is reserved for full vessel or high-volume shipments, typically 25,000 MT and above, demonstrating our capacity for strategic partnerships.
-
Standard Lead Time: Typical production and port loading time is 15 to 20 days from the receipt of the Letter of Credit (LC) or the initial T/T deposit, subject to vessel availability for large volumes.
2. Incoterms Mastery and Freight Management (Logistics Execution)

We handle the complexity of high-volume sea freight, allowing you to choose the Incoterm 2020 that best aligns with your insurance and transport strategy.

Containerized Freight Integrity
-
Container Selection: Exclusive use of clean, watertight, and inspected 20' or 40' Dry Containers (valid CSC Plate) prior to loading.
-
Loading Control: Supervision by our quality team of the filling process to optimize volume and ensure professional dunnage of bags, minimizing movement (and thus damage) during transit. Standard container capacity is approximately 25-27 MT per 20' container.
-
Security Seals: Use of High Security Seals on every container, with the serial number recorded on the Bill of Lading (B/L) and in our system, ensuring a secure chain of custody.
Flawless Documentation (Zero Customs Delay)
A missing or incorrect document is the #1 cause of customs delays. We guarantee the accuracy and speed of the following documents, transmitted via courier or e-BL:
-
Bill of Lading (B/L) / Waybill
-
Commercial Invoice & Packing List
-
Certificate of Origin (CoO)
-
Phytosanitary Certificate (PS)
-
Health Certificates (depending on destination, e.g., FDA/GACC compliance)
-
Trade Agreement Documents: Issuance of specialized forms like EUR.1 (for EU trade agreements) or similar certificates to reduce or eliminate tariffs where applicable.

Preferred Payment Mechanisms
|
Mechanism |
Functionality & Security for the Importer |
Thai Pearl Rice Standard Requirements |
|---|---|---|
|
DLC (Documentary Letter of Credit) at Sight (Conditional Release) |
High security. The client's bank guarantees payment. Requires an initial 20% portion of the LC to be immediately available to the seller to cover pre-shipment/logistics costs. The 80% balance is guaranteed and released upon receipt of conforming shipping documents. |
LC issued by a Top-tier bank (Top 50 world banks), confirmed by our bank in Thailand. LC must be structured as 20% immediate release and 80% release against documents. |
|
T/T (Telegraphic Transfer) Deposit & Balance |
Used for initial guarantee deposits or by long-standing partners. Involves an initial payment (e.g., 30% advance) to initiate production, and the balance (70%) before the release of the original B/L (BL Release). |
Deposit (e.g., 30% or 5%) within 7 banking days after SPA signature. Balance due against scanned shipping documents (B/L, SGS) and prior to B/L release. |
Step-by-Step Transaction Procedure (Post-Contract)
-
Order Confirmation: Signature of the Sales Contract (SPA) and issuance of the detailed Proforma Invoice (PI).
-
Financial Security: The buyer initiates the LC or makes the T/T deposit within the agreed timeframe.
-
Pre-Shipment Quality Control (QC): Rice is milled and inspected. If an SGS certificate or other PSI (Pre-Shipment Inspection) is required, it is carried out at this stage.
-
Loading: The container or bulk cargo is loaded, sealed, and documents (including proof of product/SGS and Fumigation Certificate) are finalized.
-
Final Payment and Title Transfer: After verification of document compliance by the bank (LC) or receipt of the balance payment (T/T), the original Bill of Lading (or the telex release) is transmitted to the buyer. Title of ownership transfers at this moment.
We manage the complexity for you. Contact us for a logistics quote based on your preferred Incoterms and destination port.
